In 2000, the original Studio Pro Yoga Mat changed the world of yoga mats with its extra grippy, high-density feel. It was also the first ever Oeko-Tex certified yoga mat, ensuring the mat was free of harmful substances. Now, the Eco-Studio is breaking new ground by using attributed recycled materials to create this eco yoga mat, with the same legendary quality.
To produce this recycled yoga mat, we use a unique and innovative method called Chemical Recycling. This process breaks down waste into basic chemical components which consequently reduces waste, facilitates resource reuse, and ensures studio quality mats. As well as being recyclable, PVC material offers lower energy and resource consumption/emissions, and a longer lifespan compared to other materials.
The high-quality, high-density, German-made PVC mat provides the same cushioning, grip/slip resistance, durability, and skin-safety certification as the standard Studio Pro Yoga Mat. This makes this eco-friendly yoga mat an ideal yoga studio mat — or for intensive home use — perfect for eco conscious yogis that don’t want to compromise on quality.
