Why FeedWays exists
FeedWays is a Green Kiwi product — a small toolmaker built out of the day-to-day reality of running a Shopify store, not a software company guessing at the problem from the outside.
Green Kiwi's first proving ground is Wheways: a sports equipment store run by a very small team — buying, pricing, listing, customer service, the lot. No warehouse team, no ops department. Just a Shopify store and whatever one person can physically get through in a day.
Every supplier sends their product data differently. One feed uses "Trade Price," another calls it "Cost," another buries it in a merged Excel cell you have to forward-fill by hand. Titles arrive in ALL CAPS. Image URLs show up split across two columns for no reason anyone can explain. Some suppliers track stock by SKU, others only by EAN. None of it looks like what Shopify actually wants to import.
Over the past year, that data got wrangled by hand, supplier by supplier — rugby and netball ranges, a full martial arts catalogue, teamwear, football kit, pitch equipment. One feed alone ran to nearly six thousand rows. Every one of them needed the same handful of fixes: correct the pricing formula, fix the rounding, sort the sizes properly, tag things consistently, patch the broken image links, stop Shopify rejecting the file for reasons that took an hour each time to diagnose.
FeedWays is that repeated, hard-won process, turned into a tool by Green Kiwi — built by someone who actually had to do the work, not guessed at it. It's the first release in what's meant to become a small suite of "-Ways" tools, each one solving a real problem Green Kiwi ran into first-hand through Wheways.
If FeedWays saves another one-person shop the hours it used to take to get a single supplier feed import-ready, it's done its job.
